Katherine Watmough is one of London and Dorset's most established piano and violin teachers and professional performer with decades of experience working with children and adults. Katherine studied piano and violin jointly at The Royal College Of Music in London. After graduating, she landed a position with the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. After 10 years she started playing 1st violin with the BBC Symphony Orchestra which lead to numerous television proms performances. Katherine played in various West-Ends shows including The Phantom Of The Opera and Spamalot, and she still records music for tv and film sessions.
Throughout her performing career Katherine has always taught the violin, accumulating 27 years of experience with children and adults of all standards.
Katherine now organises her time to managing her Monkey Music Bournemouth and also Monkey Music Baldock Hitchin and Welwyn Franchises, designed for pre-school children. In 2020 she won the HSBC British Franchise Awards with her business. She is incredibly passionate at sharing her love and experience of music to all whom she teaches.
